Good times in Rhode Island!

What's happening in Rhode Island?

So far our trip has been exciting.  We started off with a 3 hour delay getting out of portland.  During that time, Caden managed to cut his chin open and we had to call the paramedics to doctor him up.  Once we got on the plane and headed out, things were good.  Caden was a great little flier.  On Monday we went on a nice walk through a farm and saw some wildlife.

On Monday night, Caden woke us up with the stomach flu.  Which I then got.  So we are now all on the mend.  During this there was a huge storm, so we all packed up and went to Ashley's house so we could all be stuck together.

We are having fun visiting with family.  Friday night we are going to a hockey game in Providence, and Saturday night a family dinner.  I will post some pictures soon.

Getting Ready for a vacation!

We are getting ready to head across the country to Rhode Island.  Justin's restaurant is closed for 2 weeks, so we are embracing the chance to visit his family for the week.  We are doing this trip very cost effective though.  I am quite proud.  We were able to cash in frequent flier miles for the plane tickets.  This did produce an overnight layover in Portland, but not to worry, I was able to reserve a room at the Hyatt Place using Hyatt points.  We are renting a car for the week when we get there, and we will need to pay for parking at the airport, but overall, pretty cost conscious. 

I am really looking forward to a chance to relax and visit with Justin's family.  I am excited to just hang with my family for a whole week too.  So look out Rhode Island, here we come!
