White cane days for the lions club

A colleague from the Doubletree hotel helped me collect money for the Lions Club and the Blind on Friday. This is what we were wearing - Blue Aprons! I raised $13 and she collected $12. Next year we should be able to do more. :)

Air & space museum

We had a short amount of free time today, so we popped over to the Air and Space Museum. What a neat place! Here are two pictures from our visit. The hubble telescope and a space suit. I can hardly wait until Caden is big enough to visit.

Where my travels take me

I am writing this from my hotel room in Washington DC. This is where I am this week, doing sales calls. I wish that I had some free time to sight see, but this trip is work all day and all night. We get started at 8am tomorrow morning, which is 5am for the west coast. Then we have visits all day long and finish with a client event. Then it's back to the hotel by 8pm and then we do it all over again the next day.

It's kind of fun that I get to stay at the Hyatt in DC. Brings me fond memories of the Hyatt days. Looking forward to having a good night's sleep in the comfy hyatt bed.

I read an entire book on my flight today. It was called Ride Like a Penguin. It was focused on defining your brand, making a marketing plan & style guide and setting goals for what you want to get out of your project. The topics can be applied to your business or your career. There were definitely some good points to think about and ideas that will be helpful to me in the future.

Well it's getting late, even though the time change messes me up, I am going to do my best to try to go to sleep so that I am not a tired one tomorrow.

Girls weekend getaway in Chelan!

Well, I just got back from a quick weekend trip to Lake Chelan to spend the weekend with my sorority sisters. It was tons of fun, there were 7 of us. We rented a army truck to drive us around to the wineries. We went to 4 wineries and spent some quality time together. It was so nice to see everyone again.
