Heading to Vancouver for MPI

This is a pictureless post. My sister is going for wordless, I am going for pictureless. :) I am heading out tomorrow morning to fly to vancouver BC for a conference. I am not exhibiting at the conference for once, just networking and learning. I am pretty excited to go and get inspired and meet some new people. Hopefully I can find some leads for some meetings.

I will be staying at the Hyatt which will be fun.

As for the home front, Justin has left Scratch restaurant and is moving on to a new gig. He will be the executive chef (applause) at Rio's Roadside grill. He will get to create the entire menu and oversee the kitchen staff, as well as manage the ordering and food cost. Pretty exciting move for the hubby. I am very excited for him. So next time you are in the area, you will need to make a trip to the restaurant and see what it's all about.

Our first zucchini from the garden. It was delish!

We have quite the garden this year, not sure of the dimensions - most likely 10 x 15. We have all sorts of vegetables growing. So far we have harvestes lettuce, 1 carrot and a zucchini. We cut the zucchini into quarters and then grilled it on the barbecue. It was wonderful!

Goodbye cubeland. I will not miss you

Yep, it is official, our office is under remodel! Finally the cubes are going away and they are getting us in to offices. Now it's true, while we are living in the construction zone at work, we don't all think the layout is quite right, but we didn't design it. So, I am excited to be in an office now and more excited when the project will be complete at the end of August. Till then, goodbye cubes!

My delicious breakfast - yum!

I am staying at the Hyatt in Bellevue for work this week. I have had many people tell me to make sure and have the french toast for breakfast at the hyatt. So today I did. It was delicious! inside the french toast there was nutella which was warm! It was so good and so worth the wait. The service on the other hand was very slow. I could barely get a cup of coffee and creamer was almost impossible. It seemed like they were understaffed and could not handle the volume.

I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and am happy that I tried this. mmmmmm!

The supreme's dresses at the emp in seattle

I am at work in Seattle Bellevue this week. One of the activities for the conference I am at was to go to the EMP for a reception. The dresses for the supreme's were on display. The conference is a fraternity executives conference. When i was in college, in the sorority, I was a supreme for Rush for 2 years. I guess it's kind of fitting that I got to see the dresses in person. :)

The cleanest desk ever!!!

To all my past & current co workers and bosses... This is the cleanest my desk has ever been, and ever will be...

For those of you that don't know, my office is under renovation and we are moving offices around. I am at a tradeshow in Bellevue, so I had to have my office cleaned and packed before I left. I also usually have piles of paper every where around my desk and office. This is one clean desk for me. Thought I should take a picture.
