I will do my best to put a picture up soon, but thought I could throw in an update for everyone. It is spring here, and what that means is Bloomsday training! We are in full training mode right now and on saturday we will go for 4 miles - whether we walk, run or jog. Bloomsday is a 7.5 mile timed road race that takes place the first weekend in May. This will be my 4th year, Justin's 3rd and wait for it... my dad's 1st! That's right, the man is turning 60 in 2 weeks and a month later he will be doing bloomsday! This will be Jeannette's 5th year I think? She took 2 years off (one for each baby) so I think this is her 5th. I know she will correct me if I am wrong...
The really cool part about Bloomsday is the t-shirt. You only get a shirt if you finish. So that means, I need to make it the 7.5 miles and be able to walk the 1/2 mile to the t-shirt pickup too. Oh yeah, all this is before noon and I will be a mom after that so I need to be in shape so I can be up to the challenges of my kiddo.
To celebrate, we are going out for mexican food and wearing our finisher shirts! Can't wait to add to the shirt collection!
On top of the Bloomsday stuff, Caden will be playing soccer! His team is the Red Hots, and Justin is the coach. Yes you read that right, Justin is the coach. He is reading up on soccer drills and activities you can do with 4 & 5 year olds to help them learn how to play soccer! We had our first practice tonight, and I am sure it will continue to be fun and hilarious. One girl on the team played in the fall. By play, we mean that she played the first game and then refused to play in any others. Her mom and grandma made her go to all the games and she just cheered for her team. Let's hope she plays this spring, because she knows how to kick the ball!
So if you are wondering what we are up to, there is a glimpse. If you want to know more updates, watch the twitter feed on the right - that's me, @spokanecharlot I have over 400 followers now, so I am pretty proud of that.
If you want a facebook lesson or twitter lesson, let me know, happy to help!
