This guy can jump!

Just so everyone knows how fun this little guy is, we've got another video of him. We went to a friend of mine's house for new years eve...as you can tell we were home by nine since I am posting this at 9:25pm on New Years eve. It's our new way of life, focused on Caden, we come second. No more late nights for us! Anyways, my friend Amy has a jumperroo exersaucer thing, just like Caden has at Daycare and he love to bounce in it. As you will see in this video, he might jump out of it! It's a little dark, but I think you get the picture. He can jump!

Happy New Years to all! I know that I am thankful for a lot going into 2008 and appreciate all that I have. I feel so lucky to be close to my family and have such a wonderful little boy and loving husband.

Cheers to 2008!

The little guy is growing up!

I took Caden to daycare today (normally Justin does) and the ladies all commented that Caden looked different to them. I said that I thought so too and he is looking like a little boy now. (instead of a baby). They said it's because his neck is growning. Sure enough, the little guy's neck is supporting his head and it's getting bigger. Wow! He's growning up!

Well, I am off today and have been able to clean the house, workout, shower and now am going to the grocery store. If Caden was home today, I would have probably only done the shower and grocery store!

It's a productive day here. Tonight we are going to a friend's house who have a little guy that is 6 1/2 months old. It should be fun to watch them play. I will definitely have pics of that!

Christmas Dinner

This is Pete with Great Dane #2 - Sadie. Sadie is wearing her blanket too. Here is us at Christmas Dinner. Check out our prime rib! We were going to have Salmon, but it is still in the freezer on Orcas. Oh well, that was just a minor change in the menu. Justin prepared the prime rib and it was a delicious feast. (I actually got to take a nap during the dinner preparation). Hopefully my future pictures will reflect that. :)

As you can see, we don't get real dressed up for the meal, but it was very exciting to have all of us at the table. Next year there will be one more, Jeannette's baby girl is coming in March! She is due at the end of March, but will be having a C-section. we are hoping for a St Patricks day baby!

Well that sums up our Christmas festivities. In all it has been a busy week, my parents go home tomorrow.

Christmas Continued

After we opened presents at our house, we headed to Jeannette's house. When we got there, Charlie was still opening his presents. (he didn't wake up until 8am, and Caden was up at 6!) That didn't phase Caden, he crawled right over to Charlie's new Thomas the train ball crawl and crawled in. Head first! I am not kidding! This is how he spent most of the day - crawling in and out of the ball crawl. The funny part was when Caden got in, then Charlie did.

This is Justin and Pete modeling their new hats. They are not made from "mole hair" or mohair. We think they are made from bunny hair.
Caden is holding a snowman book, in the background you can see Frosty the snowman on TV. That is Charlie's favorite movie. It really calms him down when he gets stressed.
Pete and Vanessa brought their great danes. They have 2 now, Hamlet and Sadie. My mom made them blankets - Hamlet is wearing his. She made them blankets so they wouldn't feel left out when Caden and Charlie got new clothes.

I think everyone was happy with all of their gifts, and Christmas was a big success.

December 25 - Christmas Day!

A picture of our tree - Santa came! I got a Coach bag and wallet! Diamond earrings too! Life is good - thanks Hubby!
Caden got the fridge farm. It's a magnet game that sings when you put the magnets in the barn. He really likes it.

Justin got lift tickets, a new coat, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Ratatouille.
This is us after all the presents were opened. You can see all of his toys - the tiger sings when you get a ball in the basket hoop. Caden also got a firetruck and a "little people" airplane that sings. He likes all of his toys so far, and we are looking forward to him playing with them over the next year. Should be fun. I think next Christmas we will get him some batteries too!

Early Christmas!

Christmas came a little early - 2 days early to be exact. After my parents got here, my mom thought Caden should get to open her present early so we could watch him play on it. Sounds good to me! Caden got a truck that he can ride on and push while he walks. He actually pushes it while walking on his knees behind it.

This is another of his favorites - the cardboard tube from the wrapping paper. Who wouldn't love that as a toy? I think I am on to something here. He also liked the box the truck came in. Oh yeah, I am in my pajamas again, another great photo of me! I need to work on that!
This is Caden all bundled up ready to go see Charlie!

Caden visits Santa!

After Kehle left, we took Caden to visit Santa! We got him all dressed up in his "nice" clothes so he would be ready for the picture. This is a picture before we left. Just in case the visit did not go so well. Caden has met Santa 2 times before this. Once at Costco - he didn't seem to mind. The second time was at Deaconess hospital and he screamed! He did not like Santa at all! He didn't really seem to mind this Santa at Riverfront Square. I was even allowed to take a picture if I bought one too. So my minimum purchase allowed me to take this off center picture. Lucky me!
Afterwards, for a treat, we went to lunch at the Rock City Grill. This is Caden sitting in the restaurant high chair and being good.
While we were at lunch, it started to dump snow. It was a bit nerve racking since my parents were headed to town. It took them 17 hours to get her from Orcas. The state patrol would not let them over the pass. According to my mom it was like the "little engine that could." The train couldn't get over the mountain to bring the toys for the good little boys. Lucky for us, they finally got here at 11pm on Saturday night. They brought both of their dogs, which I apparently didn't take a picture of that. Well, needless to say, it's been exciting here in the town house with 4 adults, 1 baby, 1 yellow lab and 3 rat terriers. Never a dull moment, that's for sure. Justin gave my dad the muzzle and anti bark coller that were nina's. Samantha - my dad's dog - has a bark so loud that it set's the citronella collar off, even if it's not attached to her. That''s loud!

Kehle comes to town

It has been a busy week here in the Finnegan household. On Tuesday Jessica came to visit on a Nordstrom work trip. She got here real late and left early so we didn't get any pictures of that visit, but we had fun catching up. On Thursday night, I went to my christmas party for work and Justin was working at the restaurant, so Caden had a babysitter. He did really well and went right to sleep for her. Babysitters are no bargain, so that will not be a regular event, but she was a good one, so we will call again! Then on Friday night, Kehle came to town to visit. It was so fun to see her, considering we haven't seen each other in about 4 years. Kehle - you look amazing! Here are some pictures of Kehle and Caden having fun. Kehle also brought Caden his own Cougar blanket, and cougar shirt. He is already starting his cougar clothing collection!

That's right, I look like I just woke up, but that's what it's like to always need sleep!

It's a snow day!

2 weeks ago, Caden got to go sledding with Justin. He didn't really go sledding, Justin just pulled him around the neighborhood. From all accounts, Caden loved it.

I hope we get to go sledding again soon! (It snowed 4 inches last night)

Updates!

We have been busy the last week. I haven't put up any new pictures, but hope to soon. My parents are in town, and this week Jessica Hornbrook and Jen Kehle - my friends from college, both came to visit. It was so fun to see them and catch up. Kehle got to meet Caden for the first time, (and Justin for the 2nd time).

Tonight we are going to my sister's house for an exciting evening of games and family bonding! Pete and Vanessa are coming tonight as well, and we are having fondue and snacks all night long! Santa comes tonight, and lucky for us, Justin's mom sent us snacks for the reindeer! She sent us special powder to attract the reindeer. I hope it works!

Merry Christmas!

The tree has been decorated! We started doing this when caden was awake. Bad idea, he was very fussy. When he took a nap, we were able to finish! Yippee! It's Christmas in Spokane! It was snowing while we decorated which made it even more festive. We also were able to get some more Christmas shopping done today. Caden is pretty much taken care of. Now we just need to get presents for each other.

We are looking forward to Christmas. We get to have Chocolate fondue on Christmas eve and play Apples to Apples. Not sure what the game is, but my parents have assured us it will be fun. We can't wait!

We are also having Christmas at Jeannette and Matt's house. We will be bringing our presents to their house to open so we can all see what everyone gets. Let the festivities begin!

New look for the page!

Hey there! I figured out how to change the name of my page, so I decided we could have a new look.

I was able to make our Christmas cards today. Thanks Jeannette for the helpful tip for snapfish. I was able to make cards with a note inside and 2 pictures on the front!

The townhouse is decorated!

The outside of the townhouse has been decorated! We dug out what survived the move, and decorated. Let there be light!

Caden likes this light tree. It's the last year for this one, we broke part of it right after the picture. (We (I mean me) - I took a wrong step!)

Finding the Perfect Tree

This year, we have a real christmas tree. This is the first year since I have know Justin, that we have a real one. It was definitely an adventure. We couldn't get one that was too big, since we are working with limited space, so as you can see, it's about 6 1/2 feet tall. Not huge, but still good size.
Justin chopped it down and I watched. As you can see, it was a bit chilly here, even though it was sunny and blue skies, it was about 45 degrees out. Jeannette let us borrow the baby back pack so we wouldn't have to carry Caden and a tree. The good news is, when you cut it down, you just drag it to the tractor trail and the tractor brings it to the tree hut. Before we took the tree, they put it on a shaker, which got rid of any dead needles and dirt. Don't mind my outfit, I do have scarves, gloves, hats & jackets that coordinate, but wasn't thinking about that this morning.
Justin tied the tree to the top of the car and we were on our way.
This is the tree set up at the house. It's on a table so Caden doesn't get it. We also will have something in front of it so it's even harder for him to get it. Wish us luck with that!

Santa Claus is coming to town!

Caden got his picture taken with Santa at costco this weekend. He didn't seem to mind it. We are taking him to the mall for the official picture next week. Today we dressed him up as Santa. He didn't really like the santa hat, but he kept it on for the picture today.

It's still snowing here. Today is more of a wet snow and it's not sticking, just making a lot of slush. We are keeping him inside, it's too cold outside for him.
